Today’s 8″ by 8″ handmade Christmas cards have been created using the Art Deco Christmas Dreams card making kit from Debbi Moore Designs.

This collection is being shown today on Create and Craft at 6pm.

Card Design 1

Here is a tutorial on how I created this shaker card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
Art Deco Christmas Dreams Card Making Kit
Red Card
Cream Card
Green Card
Acetate Sheet
Poinsettia Die
Holly Die
3 circle Dies
Small Clear Crystals
Large Pearl Bead
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose one paper, a topper and sentiment from the card making kit.

Cut a square from red card measuring 19 cms by 19 cm.
Cut a square from the paper meaning 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

To make the circle shaker, cut a circle from red card using the largest circle die.
Then cut a circle from cream card using a slightly smaller circle die.
Next using the smallest circle die cut out the centre of the cream circle.
Then add acetate underneath to cover the hole.
Next lay the red circle flat on your desk and add a hand full of crystals to the centre.
Use foam pads to attach the cream circle to the red circle.
If more height is need for the crystals to move around then you will need to add more foam pads for height.
Attach the shaker to the card base.

Next cut out the topper and sentiment and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Using the holly die cut two pieces out using green card.
Attach both to the top of the shaker.

Then using the poinsettia die make a flower using red and cream card.
Add a pearl bead to the centre and then attach to the holly.

Card Design 2

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
Art Deco Christmas Dreams Card Making Kit
Gold Mirri Card
Green Pearl Beads
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two papers, a topper and two sentiments from the card making kit.

First to make the shape of this card cut 9 cms from the front of the card base.

Next cut a square from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from one of the papers measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Cut a piece from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 5.5 cms.
Then cut a piece from the second paper measuring 18.5 cms by 5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base on the left.

Next cut out the topper and attach to the front of the card base using foam pads.
Slightly over lap the paper and the right edge of the card base.

Cut out two sentiments and using foam pads attach one to the front of the card base and one to the inside.

To finish add a couple of green pearl beads to the front of the card base.

Card Design 3

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
Art Deco Christmas Dreams Card Making Kit
Gold Mirri Card
Red Card
Red Ribbon
Gold Gem
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose a paper, a topper and sentiment from the card making kit.

Cut a square from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from red card measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Cut a piece from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 7 cms.
Cut a piece from the paper measuring 18.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Add red ribbon and a red bow.
Then attach to the card base on the left using foam pads.

Here is a short video on how I made this bow.

Cut out matt layers for the topper using gold mirri card and red card.
Cut the red matt layer 0.5 cms larger than the topper and then cut the gold mirri card matt layer 0.5 cms larger than the red layer.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.
Slightly over lapping all layers.

Cut out the sentiment and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Then to finish add a gold gem to the centre of the bow.

Card Design 4

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
Art Deco Christmas Dreams Card Making Kit
Gold Mirri Card
Red Card
Poinsettia Die
Debbi Moore Designs Floral Flourish Dies
Gold Gem
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two papers, a topper and a sentiments from the card making kit.

First to make the shape of this card cut the front of the card base from the top left to the bottom right.

Cut a square from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from one of the papers measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Next cut a square from gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the second paper measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Cut both squares in half from the top left corner to the bottom right corner.
Take one piece of each and matt and layer together.
Then attach to the front of the card base.

Cut a matt layer for the topper from gold mirri card.
Cut this to measure 0.5 cms larger than the topper.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base using foam pads.

Next cut out the sentiment and attach to the front of the card base using foam pads.

From gold mirri card cut out two floral flourishes and attach to the bottom left corner of the topper.
Then make a flower using the poinsettia die from red card.
Attach this to the floral flourishes and add a gold gem to the center.
