I wanted to make another card for the CD Sunday challenge and this is the card that I came up with.
The topper image is from wrapping paper.
I received a prize from the CD Sunday ladies and it was wrapped in this beautiful paper.
It was too pretty to throw away.
The cd that I have used is a Debbi Moore cd called ‘Art Deco Decoupage Delights’. This cd was free in one of Debbi Moore’s magazines ‘Bringing Inspiration to you, Issue 35.
You can of course make this card using a different topper. There are lots of beautiful images on this cd.
You will need:
8″ by 8″ Cream Card
Art Deco Decoupage Delights
Brown Card
Cream Card
Brown Ribbon
Flourish Die
Gold Gem
Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Wet Glue
Matt and layer measurements:
- 1st layer : brown card 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms, paper 19 cms by 19 cms
- 2nd layer : brown card 19 cms by 19 cms, cream card 18 cms by 18 cms
Instructions:
Print off two backing papers from the cd.
Once the first matt and layer has been made up, add your brown ribbon using double sided tape and then attach this layer to the cream card base.
Next fussy cut out the flower image that is on the 2nd backing paper.
Using foam pads attach this over the same image on the card base.
This will give the card dimension.
When cutting a matt layer for the topper cut it 0.5 cms larger than the topper.
Attach the topper to the card base.
Cut two flourishes in brown card and attach these along with a gold gem.
To finish off attach the 2nd matt and layer to the inside of the card.
