Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #417 that starts today.

I have used a digi image from Ike’s Art called Athena.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Using a Die Cut or Punch.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ by 10″ White Card
Ike’s Art Called Athena
Promarkers
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Embellishment Pad
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Insert Collection
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – You Make My World Turn Doily Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – Embellishment Die Collection
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digi image, choose two papers, one insert and four coloured cards.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 24.5 cms by 17 cms.
Cut a piece from the insert measuring 24 cms by 16.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from the second coloured card measuring 20 cms by 10 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 19.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the right.

Layer three:
Using the doily die, cut the matt die from the third colour card.
Cut the decorative die from the fourth coloured card.
Cut the square die from the second paper.
Matt and layer together and cut in half from corner to corner.
Attach one half to the card base on the bottom left corner.
Using one of the cog dies, cut three from the first coloured card.
Attach to the doily die cut.

Layer four:
Colour in the digi image Athena using promarkers.

Hair: Cinnamon, umber, tan.
Skin: Dusky pink, blush
Dress/Shoes: Crimson, burgundy, burnt umber, pumpkin, amber.
Helmet: Burnt umber, warm grey 4, warm grey 2.
Bracelet: Warm grey 5, warm grey 4.
Shield: Burnt sienna, spice, saddle brown.
Owl: Burnt orange, mandarin, chestnut, praline, sandstone, cool grey 4.

Next cut a piece from the fourth coloured card measuring 17 cms by 10.5 cms.
Cut the digi image to measure 16.5 cms by 10 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping all layers.

Layer five:
Using the feather die, cut two feathers from the first and fourth coloured card.
Attach to the card base slightly over lapping layers two and four.

Layer six:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 3 cms by 5.5 cms.
Matt and layer together with the sentiment and attach to the card base slightly over lapping layers two, four and five.
