Blossom – Get Well Soon

0 9 Comments

Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #501.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Get Well Soon.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Ike’s Art.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Blossom.

Handmade card using Blossom digital image from Ike's Art

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

Instructions:

Print off the blossom digital image twice on to white card.
Choose one coloured card, one 6″ by 6″ paper and two small toppers.

Layer one:
Cut a square from coloured card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together along with the 6″ by 6″ paper and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Using the 12.5 cm circle die, cut a circle from coloured card.
Using the 11.5 cm circle die, cut a circle from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the Blossom digital image. I coloured in only two flowers on one of the images and all the flowers on the second image using promarkers.

Flowers: Gold, sunflower, yellow, pumpkin, amber, tulip yellow, apricot, mustard, buttercup, orange, mandarin, mango.
Buds: Pesto, Lemon, bright orange.
Branch: Chestnut, cinnamon.

Cut around the second image, leaving a small white border.
Cut out the two coloured flowers from the first image.
Attach them to the second image using foam pads.
Then attach to the side of layer two.

Layer four:
Cut out the images from the two small toppers.
Attach both to the card base coming out of the flowers.

Layer five:
Using a get well soon die sentiment, cut the matt die from coloured card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to layer two.

Layer six:
Fold the insert and cut to the correct size.
Then attach to the inside of the card base.
