Today’s handmade card is a gatefold card that has been created using the new paper collection called Blossoms in the Breeze and new beyond border die collection called Blissful Butterflies from Creative Crafting World.

This collection will be showing on Create and Craft on Tuesday the 19th of November.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

A4 White Card
The Paper Boutique Blossoms in the Breeze – Paper Pad With Toppers
The Paper Boutique Blossoms in the Breeze – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Blissful Butterflies – Butterfly Beautiful Border Die Collection
Silver Gems
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape

Instructions:

Choose two coloured cards, one backing paper and one square topper.

Gatefold Card Base:
Using a sheet of A4 card landscape, measure and score 7.4 cms from the two edges and fold inwards so the two edges meet in the middle.

Layer one:
Place the two edge dies from the border die collection on the edges of the card base and run through a cutting machine.
These dies will cut out the shape of the main butterfly die into the card base.
Cut the extra piece of card that will be left at the top and bottom.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 20.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the backing paper measuring 20 cms by 14 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut two pieces from the first coloured card measuring 20.5 cms by 5 cms.
Cut two pieces from the backing paper measuring 20 cm by 4.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front panel of the card base.

Layer four:
Cut a square from white card measuring 9 cms by 9 cms.
Cut a square from the first coloured card measuring 8.5 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together along with the square topper and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer five:
Using the butterfly die cut the first matt layer die out from the first coloured card.
Then cut the main butterfly die out from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front panels of the card base.

Next using one of the butterfly embellishments cut two out from the second coloured card and overlay the middle butterfly on each of the front panels.

To finish add silver gems to the main butterfly die cut on the front panels.
