Celebration Cake – Happy Birthday

Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #428 that starts today.

I have used a digital image from HettyClare called Celebration Cake.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Favorite Colour.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
Promarkers
HettyClare Digital Image Called Celebration Cake
The Paper Boutique – The Paper Pantry USB All Occasions Volume I
The Paper Boutique Secret Romance – All You Need Is Love Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Secret Romance – Embellishment Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Filigree Fancies – Sentiment Volume XX Die Collection
Turquoise Card
Pink Card
White Card
Heart Gem
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose one paper from the Paper Pantry USB.
Print the digital image small.

Layer one:
Cut a square from turquoise card measuring 19 cm by 19 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a square from turquoise card measuring 17 cm by 17 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from the paper measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer three:
Using the heart die, cut the matt die from white card.
Cut the decorative die from pink card.
Cut the circle die from white card.
Matt and layer together, adding the white circle using foam pads.
Attach to the card base.

Layer four:
Using a sentiment die, cut the matt from turquoise card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to layer three.

Layer five:
Using the bow die, cut one bow from turquoise card.
Attach to the top of the die cut heart, adding a small heart gem.

Layer six:
Colour in the digital image, I used promarkers.

Hair: Cocoa, burnt orange
Skin: Dusky pink, putty
Hat: Marine, turquoise, soft green, mint green, green
Dress: Marine, turquoise, soft green, green
Tights: Dusky rose, pastel pink
Boots: Spice, raw sienna, cinnamon, warm grey 4
Flowers: Dusky rose, pastel pink, apricot
Cake: Pumpkin, apricot, crimson, poppy, chestnut, warm grey 3

Handmade card using a digi image from HettyClare called Celebration Cake.

Cut around the digital image, leaving a small white border.
Attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping layer three.
