Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #271.

The theme for this challenge is Animals + A Sentiment.

I have used a digital stamp from Dr. Digi’s House Of Stamps called Chaz The Chimp.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
Dr. Digi’s Digital Image called Chaz The Chimp
Promarker Pens
Backing Papers – JennyLDesignsShop
The Paper Boutique – The Paper Pantry USB Cutting Files Volume II
White Card
Black Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two backing papers and print off the digi image.
From the USB cut out two long leaves in black card and two sentiments in black and white card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a square from black card measuring 4.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 4 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach across the centre of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a square from black card measuring 14.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Cut a square from the second paper measuring 14 cms by 14 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base at a slight angle.

Layer four:
Colour in Chaz The Chimp digital image, I have used Promarkers.

Tyre: Black, cool grey 4, cool grey 2
Chaz The Chimp: Burgundy, burnt umber, burnt orange, spice, cinnamon, caramel.
Rope: Firebrick, henna

Next cut a piece from black card measuring 11 cms by 10 cms.
Cut Chaz The Chimp digi image to measure 10.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the centre of layer three.

Layer five:
Add the leaves to the top left corner of layer four.
Next add the sentiments using foam pads.
To finish I cut a couple of banana’s from one of the backing papers and added them to the card using foam pads.
