Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #424 that starts today.

I have used a digi image from Eekers Knitty Kitty called Christmas Cat Flap.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Christmas.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
Promarkers
Eekers Knitty Kitty Digi Image Called Christmas Cat Flap
The Paper Pantry Usb IV – A Christmas Tale Collection
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Snowfall Embellishments
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Sentiment Volume XVI
Snowflake Punch
Corner Punch
Silver Gems
White Card
Black Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digi image and cut to measure 14 cms by 15 cms.
From the usb choose two backing papers.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 19.5 cm by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a square from white card measuring 12.5 cm by 12.5 cms.
Cut a square from black card measuring 12 cm by 12 cms.
Cut a square from the second paper measuring 11.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
Cut each piece in half from corner to corner.
Matt and layer together making two triangles.
Attach each to the card base using foam pads, one on the top right and one on the bottom left.

Layer three:
Colour in the Christmas Cat Flap digi image using promarkers.

Cats: Ice grey 4, ice grey 2, ice grey 5, orange, mango, coral, cinnamon, walnut, chestnut, black, cool grey 1, praline.
Wall: Chestnut, cocoa, raw sienna.
Door/Steps: Cool grey 4, cool grey 3, cool grey 1, warm grey 5, warm grey 3, warm grey 1.
Trees/Baubles: Holly, pine, emerald, blender pen, sunflower, cardinal red, honey comb, cyan, saddle brown, spice, umber, black, cool grey 5.
Wreaths: Crimson, cardinal red, moss, lime zest.
Light: Cool grey 5, cool grey 3, cool grey 1, sunflower, yellow.

Then cut a square from white card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Cut a square from black card measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Cut the corner of each using the corner punch.
Matt and layer together along with the digi image.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Using a sentiment die, cut the matt die from black card.
Cut the sentiment die from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer five:
Using one of the snowflake dies, cut one from white card.
Attach to the top left of the digi image.
Next cut a few snowflakes out using the snowflake punch and attach them to the card base.
Add silver gems to the centre of the snowflakes.
