Craft Artist : Happy Birthday

0 9 Comments

Today’s card has been made using the Craft Artist program. I haven’t used this for a very long time so I sat down for a play and came up with this design that I then made into a card.

I have used ‘Bright Blooms’ from Daisy trail (which is sadly no longer around) and a cd by Victoria Nelson called ‘Occasions Collection’

After making the main topper in craft artist I then printed out a couple of the papers that I had used on the topper and used these for matts and layers on my card.

I decided to make an easel card by using an 8″ by 8″ scallop card.

Score the front of the 8″ by 8″ scallop card at 4″ and fold to make the stand for the topper.

Cut an 8″ by 8″ card in half and use one half of it to make the base for the topper. If you do this then you know that everything will fit together perfectly.

Instructions to decorate your card :

Cut one of the papers 19 cms by 19 cms and attach to the bottom of the white card base.

Then to make a stopper for the front fold, cut a white piece of card measuring 19 cms by 4 cms and matt and layer this with a piece of paper measuring 19 cms by 3 cms.
Add some ribbon for decoration and using foam pads attach this to the base of your card.

For the topper you will need to cut some matts and layers:

1 x paper 19 cms by 19 cms
1 x white card 18 cms by 18 cms
1 x paper 17 cms by 17 cms
1 x white card 16 cms by 16 cms

Matt and layer the above and then using foam pads attach the topper to the last white layer.

Using wet glue attach this to the front fold of the base card.

To finish the card put a small piece of white card on the base (you can matt and layer this to match the card design, please see picture) and this is where you can write your message.
