Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #412 that starts today.
I have used a digi image from Eeker Knitty Kitty Digis called Deep Sea Diver
The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option For A Boy, but you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
2 x 7″ By 7″ White Cards

Promarkers
The Paper Boutique Perfect Partners – Powder Blue Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Filigree Fancy – Sentiments Volume XX
Grass Die
Cut & Make Mini – Star Fish Die
Cut & Make Mini – Oyster Shell Die
Xcut Mini – Fish Die
Navy Card
White Card
Kraft Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Choose one plain paper and one patterned paper.
Score and fold both 7″ by 7″ card fronts to make a z fold card shape.
Cut a strip from one of the cards measuring 4 cms in length.
Layer one:
Cut a square from navy card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from the plain paper measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the inside.
Layer two:
Cut a piece from navy card measuring 16.5 cms by 8 cms.
Cut a piece from the patterned paper measuring 16 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the front.
Layer three:
Cut a piece from navy card measuring 3 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 2.5 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the white card strip.
Then cut two pieces from navy card measuring 3 cms by 8 cms.
Cut two pieces from plain paper measuring 2.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the white card strip.
Attach the card strip to the card base at the top, the smallest piece attaches to the inside and the longest piece to the front of the card base.
Layer four:
Colour in the digi image Deep Sea Diver using promarkers.
Cat: Burnt sienna, caramel, praline, sandstone, pastel pink.
Swimwear: Verdigris, pastel green, ice grey 5.
Ocean: Cornflower, cloud blue.
Sand: Tan, oatmeal.
Shells/Stones: Raw sienna, coral, peach, sunkissed pink.
Seaweed: Pesto, marsh green, herb green, moss.
Fish: Warm grey 4, slate, shale, midnight blue, cadet blue, ginger, pumpkin.
Layer five:
Cut a piece from navy card measuring 11.5 cms by 10 cms.
Cut the digi topper to measure 11 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer together using foam pads.
Attach to the front of the card base.
Layer six:
Using the fish die, cut three from white card.
Colour them in use promarkers.
Attach two to the inside of the card base and one to the front.
Layer seven:
Using the grass die, cut two from white card.
Colour both in with promarkers.
Using the starfish die, cut two from kraft card.
Attach the grass and starfish to the inside of the card base.
Using foam pads on the grass to add a bit of dimension.
Layer eight:
Using the sentiment die, cut the matt die from navy card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base.
Layer nine:
Using the oyster die, cut one from kraft card.
Attach to the bottom left corner of the digi topper and add a pearl bead to the centre.
