Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #385 that starts today.

The optional theme for this challenge is one for the boys, but you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

I have used a digi image from Dr.Digi’s House Of Stamps called Fatman and Bobbin

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
Dr.Digi’s House Of Stamps – Fatman and Bobbin
Promarkers
The Big One Backgrounds Dvd-Rom (From Splash Crafts)
The Paper Boutique Celestial Embellishment Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Male Relations Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Sentiment Collection 2
2 Circle Dies
White Card
Black Card
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digi stamp and colour in with promarkers.

The promarkers used were :

Face: Blush, tan.
Costume: Cool grey 4, cool grey 3, arctic blue, sky blue, china blue.
Knee Pads: Cool grey 1, cool grey 5.
Bike: Cool grey 5, black, cool grey 1, cool grey 2, cool grey 3, berry red, poppy, china blue, coco, canary, orange.
Dog: Black, cool grey 4, pastel pink.

When finished cut around the digi image.

Score and fold the front of the card base. This will make a z fold shape for this card design.

Choose two papers from the dvd-rom.

Cut a square from black card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from one of the papers measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 20 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 19.5 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base.

Using the two circle dies cut one out in black card and the other out in white card.
Matt and layer together.
Attach the Fatman and Bobbin digi topper to the centre circle using foam pads.
Then attach to the front of the card base.

Using the Happy Birthday sentiment from the sentiment collection 2 collection., cut the matt layer out of black card.
Cut the sentiment out of white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base at the top.

Using the Husband sentiment from the Male Relations die collection, cut the matt layer out in black card.
Cut the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base at the bottom.

To finish cut a couple of stars out using the two small stars from the Celestial Embellishment die collection.
Cut the matt layer out of black card.
Cut the stars out of yellow card.
Matt and layer together using foam pads and attach to the inside of the card base.
