Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog #313.

The theme for this challenge is Foiling and Or Flowers + A Sentiment.

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be followed and a sentiment included.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

A5 White Card
SheepSki Designs – Freesia Vase
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique Perfect Partners – Lovely Lavender Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Perfect Partners – Dusky Pink Paper Pad
The Crafty Witches – Essential Sentiments Volume 1 Digital Download Collection
White Card
Rectangle Dies
Small Pearl Beads
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the image on to white card.
Choose two dusky pink patterned papers, two lavender patterned papers and one plain.
Choose one sentiment.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from the plain lavender paper measuring 20 cms by 14 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 19.5 cms by 13.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the first lavender patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 13 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 11 cms by 14 cms.
Cut a piece from the second lavender patterned paper measuring 10.5 cms by 14 cms.
Matt and layer it together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 4 cms by 14 cms.
Cut a piece from the first dusky pink patterned paper measuring 3.5 cms by 14 cms.
Matt and layer it together and attach across layer two using foam pads.

Layer four:
Cut a square from white card measuring 6 cms by 6 cms.
Cut a square from the second dusky pink patterned paper measuring 5.5 cms by 5.5 cms.
Cut both in half from corner to corner.
Matt and layer together making two triangles.
Attach each to the top corners using foam pads.

Layer five:
Colour in the Freesia Vase digital image, I used promarker pens.

Flowers: Pear green, orchid, purple, tulip yellow, sunflower, baby pink, cocktail pink, lipstick red, carmine.
Vase / Table: Tea green, burnt sienna.

Cut the image out using a rectangle die.
Then cut out another rectangle from the plain paper using a slightly larger rectangle die.
Matt and layer and attach to the card base using foam pads.
Add some small pearl beads to the top right and bottom left corners.

Layer four:
Using the solid paper, cut out a matt layer for the sentiment.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base
