Giant Daisies – Get Well Soon

Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #408 that starts today.
I have used a digi image from Sheep Ski Designs called Giant Daisies

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Speedy Recovery/ Get Well, but you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

2 x A5 White Cards
Sheep Ski Designs digi image called Giant Daisies
Promarkers
The Paper Boutique Grandma’s Garden – Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Grandma’s Garden – Embellishment Pad
The Paper Boutique Floral Butterflies – Floral Butterflies Embellishment Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Filigree Fancy – Sentiments Volume XX
Turquoise Card
White Card
Gold Gems
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digi image, then choose two papers, one border and one flower topper image from the embellishment pad.

Card shape:
Score and fold the front of both card bases.
Then cut a 4 cms stripe from one of the card bases.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from turquoise card measuring 14.5 cms by 20.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 14 cms by 20 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from turquoise card measuring 14.5 cms by 10 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 14 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from turquoise card measuring 3.5 cms by 20.5 cms.
Cut the border strip to measure 20 cms in length.
Matt and layer together.
Then cut two pieces from turquoise card measuring 3.5 cms by 9.5.
Cut two pieces from the border strip measuring 9 cms in length.
Matt and layer together.
Attach all pieces to the 4 cms strip.
Then attach the 4 cm white strip across the center of the card base.
The longest part is attached to the front fold and the shortest part to the inside of the card base.

Layer four:
Colour in the digi image Giant Daisies using promarkers.

Male Gnome
Hat: Petrol blue, marine, turquoise.
Beard: Honeycomb, ginger, apricot.
Shoes: Cool grey 5, cool grey 4, cool grey 3.
Skin: Champagne, satin.

Female Gnome
Hat: Dusky pink, pastel pink, soft peach.
Dress: Pastel pink, soft peach.
Apron: Dusky pink, blush.
Shoes: Cool grey 5, cool grey 4, cool grey 3.
Skin: Champagne, satin.
Hair: Cocoa, burnt sienna, raw sienna.

Flowers: Mustard, sunflower, tulip yellow, cinnamon, holy, pesto.

Cut the digi image to measure 10.5 cms by 10.5 cms.

Layer five:
Cut a square from turquoise card measuring 14 cms by 14 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 13.5 cms by 13.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.

Layer six:
Cut a square from turquoise card measuring 12 cms by 12 cms.
Cut a square from the first and second paper measuring 11.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
Cut both paper squares in half from corner to corner.
Matt and layer one of each half to the turquoise card and attach to layer five.

Layer seven:
Cut a square from turquoise card measuring 11 cms by 11 cms.
Matt and layer with the digi image topper.
Then attach to layer six using foam pads.
Next attach all to the 4 cms strip on the card base.

Layer eight:
Using the get well soon sentiment, cut the matt die from turquoise card.
Cut the sentiment die from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base using foam pads.

Layer nine:
Using one of the butterfly dies, cut a butterfly from turquoise card.
Attach to the right corner of the digi topper.
The using the topper from the embellishment pad, cut out a flower.
Attach the flower to the bottom left corner of the digi topper using foam pads.
To finish add gold gems to the butterfly.
