Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #568.
The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option Witchy.
You must use alcohol markers on your work to join in the fun, any brand is excepted.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Polka Doodles.
For my card I have used one of their digital images called Witch Broomstick Halloween Gnome which is from Gnome Trick or Treat collection.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
2 x 7″ By 7″ White Card Base
A4 White Card
Polka Doodles Digital Image – Witch Broomstick Halloween Gnome
Promarker Pens
The Crafty Witches Spellbinding Classics – Halloween Petrifying Purple
Black Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Print the digital image Witch Broomstick Halloween Gnome on to white card.
Print three papers and one sentiment sheet. Then take a snapshot of the pumpkin paper and print it out at a larger size.
Score and fold both 7″ by 7″ card fronts to make a z fold card.
Cut a strip from one of the cards measuring 3 cms in height..
Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.
Layer two:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 8 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 16 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front fold of the card base.
Layer three:
Cut a piece from the third paper measuring 2.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Next cut two pieces measuring 2.5 cms by 8 cms.
Attach all to the strip of card.
Then attach the card strip to the card base across the top, the smallest piece attaches to the inside of the card base and the longest piece to the front of the card base.
Layer four:
Colour in the digital image Witch Broomstick Halloween Gnome, I used promarker pens.
Hat / Dress: Purple, plum, aubergine, cool grey 4, 5, black, gold, amber.
Cloak / boots: Cool grey 4, 5, black, purple, plum, aubergine.
Skin / Hair: Almond, putty, pesto, herb green, marsh green.
Broom / Wand: Caramel, burnt sienna, chestnut, aubergine, cocoa, burnt umber.
Cut around the image, leaving a small white border.
Attach the image by the top of the hat to the strip, so the witch looks like she is flying.
Layer five:
Cut out a few pumpkins and attach them to the inside and front fold of the card base, using foam pads.
Then cut out two sentiments and make a black matt for both.
Attach the sentiments to the front fold of the card base.
