Today’s handmade card has been created for inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.
For my card I have used one of their digital images called Hallo’ Owlie.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
You will need :
8″ By 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Image Called Hallo’ Owlie
White Card
Black Card

Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Instructions:
Print the digital image Hallo’ Owlie on to white card.
Choose and print one plain paper, two patterned papers and one sentiment sheet.
Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the plain paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Layer two:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 16 cms by 8 cms.
Cut a piece from the first patterned paper measuring 15.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the right.
Layer three:
Cut a square from black card measuring 12 cms by 12 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 11.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base, overlapping layer two.
Layer four:
Colour in the Hallo’ Owlie digital image, I used promarker pens.
Skin / Face: Satin, almond, ivory, pear green, herb green.
Hair: Terracotta, raw sienna, saddle brown.
Hat / Cloak / Shoes: Amber, black, cool grey 1, 3, 5.
Dress / Gloves: Mandarin, mango, orange, amber, buttercup.
Owls: Burnt orange, cocoa, caramel, olive green, pear green.
Pumpkin: Pear green, olive green, orange, amber, bright orange.
Cut around the image, leaving a small white border.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.
Layer five:
Cut out two sentiments.
Using black card make a black matt for each of the sentiments.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.
To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base
