Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog #301.
The theme for this challenge is Watercolouring and / or Spring + A Sentiment.
You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be followed and a sentiment included.
I decided to use a flower image from Ike’s Art called Lilac.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
You will need :
7″ By 7″ White Card Base
Ike’s Art Digital Image Lilac
Promarkers Watercolour Pens
The Paper Boutique Essential Nesting Dies – Volume I
Butterfly Die
Butterfly Punch
Small Pearl Beads
Watercolour Card
White Card
Purple Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Instructions:
Print the digital image on to watercolour card.
Type and print out a sentiment.
Layer one:
Cut a square from purple card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Layer two:
Using a circle die, cut a circle from purple card.
Using a slightly smaller circle die, cut the sentiment in to a circle.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base, using foam pads.
Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Lilac, I used promarkers watercolour pens.
Flowers / Leaves : Mauve, Gamboge Hue, Hookers Dark Green
Cut around the image, leaving a white border.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.
Layer four:
Using the butterfly die, cut a butterfly from purple card.
Then cut out three butterflies using the butterfly punch.
Attach each to the card base, adding a pearl bead to the centres.
To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.

I particularly love this one Lisa as Lilac is one of my favourite flowers. I have some in my garden but sadly it is almost over.
I did note though Lisa that your link isn’t to the Lilac (which I managed to find) but to a Daisy Panel. Tis a lovely panel but not Lilac.
