Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #432 that starts today.

I have used one of their digital images called Har Repotter Gentle One.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Adding Ribbon or Twine.
I chose to add twine to my card design.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

A4 White Card
Bugaboo Stamps – Har Repotter Gentle One
Promarkers
Backing Papers – Cutestclipart
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Sentiments Volume XV
The Paper Boutique Wickedly Wonderful – Embellishment Die Collection
Black Card
White Card
Blue Card
Red Card
Purple Card
Twine
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digital image Har Repotter Gentle One and choose three backing papers.

For the card base, cut the A4 white card to measure 17 cms, keeping the length the same.
Score at 3.5 cms and 7 cms each side.
Then from the A4 card cut a piece measuring 4 cms by 22.7 cms.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 15 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 16 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut four pieces from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 3 cms.
Cut four pieces from the second paper measuring 16 cms by 2.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the sides of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece of black card measuring 3.5 cms by 22 cms.
Cut a piece from the third paper measuring 3 cms by 21.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the strip of white card.
Next lay the main card base flat and fold in the left side, leaving the right side flat.
Attach the strip of card to the bottom of the card base.
Once stood up both sides will open correctly and the card will then fold flat for postage.

Layer four:
Colour in the digital image, I used promarkers.

Hair: Chestnut, Burnt Orange, terracotta.
Skin: Dusky rose, pastel pink, pale pink.
Shirt / Belt: Crimson, cardinal red, honeycomb, black.
Coat: Warm grey 1, warm grey 3, warm grey 5.
Boots: Ice grey 4, ice grey 5.
Lantern: Pumpkin, amber, apricot, ice grey 5.
Dog: Black, cool grey 1, cool grey 3, cool grey 5.

Cut around the digital image leaving a small white border.
Attach to the left of layer three.

Layer five:
Using the twine, make a spider’s web in the right corner of layer one.
Then using the spider die, cut three spiders from black card.
Using the spider body die, cut one from blue, red and purple card.
Matt and layer the spiders and attach to layer one using foam pads.
Add some twine to the spiders so they look like they are climbing down the wall.

Layer six:
Using one of the sentiment dies, cut the matt die from black card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to layer four.
