Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #248 that starts today.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes + Sentiment.

For my card I have used a digi image from Crafty Sentiments Designs called Harriet-Lady Bird and Butterfly

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ by 10″ White Card
Crafty Sentiments Designs called Harriet-Lady Bird and Butterfly
Promarkers
The Paper Boutique Bohemian Blooms – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Bohemian Blooms – Insert Collection
The Paper Boutique Floral Butterflies – Be All You Can Be Die Collection
White Card
Pearl Beads
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the Harriet-Lady Bird and Butterfly digi image and then choose two coloured cards and one insert.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 17.5 cms by 25 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 17 cms by 24.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the insert measuring 16.5 cms by 24 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Using the doily die set, cut the matt die from white card.
Then cut the decorative die from the second coloured card.
Matt and layer together and attach the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 17.5 cms by 7 cms.
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 17.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the insert measuring 17.5 cms by 6 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping layer two on the right.

Layer four:
Colour in the Harriet-Lady Bird and Butterfly digi image.
For my image I used promarkers.

Skin: Soft peach, sunkissed pink.
Hair: Cocoa, raw sienna, burnt sienna.
Clothes: Amethyst, lavender, maroon, fuschia pink.
Flowers/Grass: Pumpkin, apricot, cocoa, cinnamon, apple, cerise, fuchsia pink.
Butterfly: Violet, prussian, aubergine, cool grey 4.
Lady Bird: Berry red, lipstick red, cool grey 3.

Next cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 12.5 cms by 10.5 cms.
Cut the digi image to measure 12 cms by 10 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads slightly over lapping layer two and three.

Layer five:
Using the sentiment die, cut the matt die from white card.
Cut the sentiment from the first coloured card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base of the left.

To finish cut three butterflies from the second coloured card using the doily die embellishments.
Attach around the digi image topper and add pearl beads to the butterflies.
