Have A Rocking Birthday

This Have A Rocking Birthday card that I am sharing today is one that I made for my son’s 15th birthday.

He plays the drums ( shakes the house) and the guitar so the images from Twistoon were just perfect.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

A4 White Card
Twistoon Digital Stamps Called Drummer and Rock Guitar
Promarkers
The Big One Backgrounds Cd Rom
The Paper Boutique Male Relations Die Collection
White Card
Black Card
Corner Die
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the Drummer digital image three times and the Rock Guitar digital image once.
From the cd choose and print three papers.

For the card base, cut the A4 white card to measure 17 cms, keeping the length the same.
Score at 3.5 cms and 7 cms each side.
Then from the A4 card cut a piece measuring 4 cms by 22.7 cms.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 15 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 11.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together putting the first paper at the top and second paper at the bottom of the black card.
Attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut four pieces from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 3 cms.
Cut four pieces from the third paper measuring 16 cms by 2.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the sides of the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece of black card measuring 3.5 cms by 22.2 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 3 cms by 21.7 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the strip of white card.
Next lay the main card base flat and fold in the left side.
Attach the strip of card to the bottom of the card base, only add adhesive to the ends of the strip.

Layer four:
Colour in the Drummer digital image, I used promarkers.
I coloured in the boy on the first image, the bass drum on the second image and the Tom-toms plus the cymbals on the third image.
Cut each out to decoupage the image using foam pads.

Hair: Chestnut, burnt sienna, praline.
Skin / Face: Blush, almond, pastel pink, cobalt blue, ivory.
T-Shirt: Cadet blue, cloud blue, grey green.
Drum Sticks / Drums: Ice grey 1,3,4, Black, cool grey 2,4, putty, blush, almond, tan.
Cymbals: Black, cool grey 3, 4, spice, tan.

Using a sentiment from the die collection, cut the matt die from black card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
