Holly Angel – Believe In The Magic Of The Season

Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #516

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Seasons Greeting In August.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Ching-Chou Kuik.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Holly Angel.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ x 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamp Called Holly Angel
Promarkers
Cloud Backing Paper
Small House Dies
Small Snowflake Dies
Christmas Sentiment Stamp
Silver Mirri Card
White Card
Small Silver Gems
Snow Glitter
Black Ink Pad
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Holly Angel on to white card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from silver mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the cloud backing paper measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 2.5 cms by 19 cms.
Attach to the bottom of the card base.
Using the house dies, cut three from white card.
Attach each to the white card.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Holly Angel, I used Promarkers.

Hair: Cool grey 5, 3, 1.
Skin/Face: Baby pink, dusky pink, satin, almond, dusky rose, pink, leaf green.
Clothes: Carmine, antique pink, cocktail.
Wings: Grey green, powder blue, tea green.
Greenery: Crimson, berry red, pesto, marsh green.
Birds: Chestnut, saddle brown, sunflower, hot pink.

Cut around the digital image, leaving a small white border.
Attach to the top left of the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Add two Christmas sentiments using the stamps and ink pad.
Attach a couple of snowflakes adding small silver gems to the centre.
Then add some snow glitter around the houses.

Layer five:
Cut a square from silver mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.
