Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #283.

The theme for this challenge is Birthday Sentiment.

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be follow and a sentiment included.

I have used one of their digital images called I Dream of Genie.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ By 7″ White Card
Dr Digi’s House Of Stamps Digi Image I Dream of Genie
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique Perfect Partners – Navy And White Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Essential Nesting Dies Volume 1
The Paper Boutique Filigree Fancy – Sentiments Volume XX
Black Card
White Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two backing papers from the paper pad and print off the digital image onto white card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 16.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 3 cms by 16.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 2.5 cms by 16.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Using the large corner die, cut two from the second paper.
Attach to the card base on the right corners.

Layer four:
Colour in the digital image I Dream of Genie. I used promarker pens.

Skin: Dusky rose, pastel pink, blush.
Turban / Vest: Orange, amber, storm cloud, midnight blue, sky blue.
Smoke: cool grey 3, 2, 1.
Lantern: Orange, amber, pumpkin, saffron.

Cut a piece of black card measuring 14 cms by 7 cms.
Cut the digital image to measure 13.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach the the card base using foam pads.

Layer five:
Using a sentiment, cut the matt die from black card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to layer two.

Layer six:
Using Word make an extra sentiment, I used May All Your Wishes Come True.
Matt and layer with black matts and attach to the card base.
