Today’s handmade card has been created for inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Little Talks.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Stamp Called Little Talks
Promarkers
The Crafty Witches Oceanic Waters Digital Download Collection
White Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Little Talks on to white card.
Choose two patterned papers, one plain paper and two sentiment from the download collection.

Fold the front of the card base to make a z-fold shaped card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from plain paper measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a square from plain paper measuring 9 cms by 9 cms.
Cut a square from the second patterned paper measuring 8.5 cms 8.5 cms.
Cut each square in half from corner to corner.
Matt and layer one of each together.
Attach inside of the card base, on the bottom right using foam pads.
This is the place to write a message.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 13 cms by 9,5 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 12.5 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base, on the left.

Layer four:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 19.5 cms by 9 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front fold of the card base.

Layer five:
Colour in the digital image Little Talks, I used promarkers.

Skin / Face: Almond, ivory, champagne, sky blue, sunkissed pink, fuchsia pink, cardinal red.
Hair: Duck egg, arctic blue, azure.
Owl: Cocoa, burnt sienna, raw sienna, caramel, blush, sunflower, apricot.
Flowers: Carmine, baby pink, mandarin, olive green, herb green.

Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 13.5 cms by 11 cms.
Cut the image to measure 13 cms by 10.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front fold of the card base.

Layer six:
Using the plain paper cut two matt layers out for the sentiments.
Matt and layer together and attach one to the inside of the card base and one to the image.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
