Paddling Pool Peggy – Happy Birthday

Today’s handmade card has been created for I Love Promarkers blog challenge 390. Please come and join us.

The theme for this challenge is Birthday, you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work

I have used a digi image from Dr. Digi’s House Of Stamps called Paddling Pool Peggy.

Happy Birthday card using Paddling Pool Peggy digi stamp

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

7″ by 10″ White Card
Promarkers
Dr. Digi’s House Of Stamps Digi Image Paddling Pool Peggy.
The Big One Backgrounds Cd Rom
The Paper Boutique Just Because Die Collection 
The Paper Boutique Sentiment Collection 2 – Happy Birthday
Balloon Die
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose three papers from the cd rom.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 17.3 cms by 25 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 16.8 cms by 24.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 17.3 cms by 10 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 16.8 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the left using foam pads.

Next using the doily die set, cut the matt layer die from black card.
Then cut the doily die from the first paper.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base over lapping the second layer.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 13 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a piece from the third paper measuring 12.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base over lapping the second and third layers.

Next print the Paddling Pool Peggy digi image out twice.

Cut one to measure 10 cms by 14 cms and colour the man and water puddles in.

The promarkers used were :

Man Skin: Almond, ivory.
Hair: Burnt sienna, cinnamon.
Shorts: Orange, gold.
Water: Sky blue, arctic blue.

Next cut out the lady and water bed from the second digi image and colour in.

The promarkers used were :

Lady: Blush, dusky pink.
Costume: Cerise.
Hat: Lemon, buttercup.
Hair: Cobalt blue, arctic blue.
Water Bed: Amethyst, lavender, fuchsia pink, cool grey 2.
Glass: Cool grey 1, lipstick.

Cut the balloon die out in white card and colour in.

The promarkers used were :

Balloons: Amethyst, lavender, fuchsia pink.

Next cut a piece from black card measuring 10.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer with the first digi image.
Attach the balloons to the first digi image at the edge of the water bed.
Then attach the second digi image to the first digi image using foam pads slightly over lapping the balloon strings.
Attach to the card base.

To finish add a sentiment using the sentiment die, cut the matt layer out in black card and the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads on the bottom left.
