Poinsettia Fairy – Christmas Wishes

0 8 Comments

Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Challenge #449.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Christmas.

You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Ike’s Art.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Poinsettia Fairy.

Handmade card using a digital image from Ike's Art called poinsettia Fairy

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

Foam Pads

Print off the Poinsettia Fairy digital image twice on to white card.
Choose three inserts, two the same for the front of the card and two sentiments.

Layer one:
Cut a square from grey card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first insert measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Colour in the Poinsettia Fairy image. I coloured in the flowers on one of the images and the lady on the other image using promarkers.

Cut a piece from grey card measuring 14 cms by 10.5 cms.
Cut the lady image to measure 13.5 cms by 10 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Then cut around the flowers on the second image and attach to the first image using foam pads.
Add gold glitter glue to the centre of the flowers.

Layer three:
Using the grey card, cut two matts for the two sentiments.
Matt and layer each together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Using the second insert that matched the one used on the front of the card, cut out the fox image.
Attach to the same image on the card base using foam pads.

Layer five:
Add the third insert inside the card base.
