Today’s handmade card has been created using a dvd-rom called Family Portraits – Wild Birds from Creative Crafting World. 

This dvd-rom is full of beautiful adult birds and their babies that have been painted by Pollyanna Pickering.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
DL White Card
Pollyanna Pickering Family Portraits – Wild Birds Dvd-Rom
White Card
Black Card
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

From the dvd-rom select Robins, go to the second page and print off the fifth image sheet.
Next go to the first page and print off the sixth image sheet.
Then choose two patterned papers.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut one of the border strips from the image sheet.
Then attach to the bottom left and top right corners of the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Cut a square from black card measuring 13.5 cms by 13.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 13 cms by 13 cms.
Cut out the topper from the image sheet.
Matt and layer all together.
Next cut part of the topper out from the second image.
Attach this to the first topper using foam pads.
Attach the layer to the centre of the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 2 cms by 8 cms.
Cut out a long sentiment from the sentiment sheet.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base .

Layer five:
Cut two squares from black card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut two squares from white card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut two squares from the second patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer six:
Cut the DL card in half, keep one half and save the other for another project.
Fold each end of the strip into the centre and score to make three folds.
Cut four pieces from black card measuring 4.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Attach these to the four section on the strip.
Then attach the two ends of the strip to the inside of the card base.

Layer Seven:
Cut four squares from black card measuring 9 cms by 9 cms.
Cut three square toppers from the sixth image sheet, the toppers measure 8.5 by 8.5.
Then cut a square from white card measuring 8.5 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the four sections of the strip inside the card base.
