This handmade easel card has been created using Pollyanna Pickering’s The Legacy dvd-rom from Creative Crafting World.

For this handmade card I have used the Gorillas collection from African Safari Volume 1 from the dvd-rom.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

Instructions:

You will need :

7″ by 10″ White Card
Pollyanna Pickering The Legacy Dvd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Sentiment Volume XV Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Posy Embellishment Die Collection  
Black Card
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

From the dvd-rom choose and print off two Gorilla image sheets, (sheet two and eight) then two backing papers (sheet six and seven)

Turn the card base horizontal, score the front in half and fold.
Measure 16 cms across the front and cut from the front to the back fold.
Fold each section to form two easel bases.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 17.3 cms by 25 cms.
Cut a piece from one of the backing papers measuring 16.8 cms by 24.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the bottom of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 8.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second backing paper measuring 8 cms by 15 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front left fold of the card base.

Cut a square from black card measuring 13 cms by 13 cms.
Next using image sheet eight, cut both of the square toppers out.
Matt and layer one to the black square and use the second one to decoupage.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from black card measuring 8.5 cms by 9 cms.
Cut a square image from image sheet two and trim to measure 8 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front right fold of the card base.

Layer four:
Cut one of the borders out from image sheet eight and cut two pieces with a length of 13.5 cms and 7.5 cms.
Then cut two pieces from black card measuring 3.5 cms by 14 cms and 3.5 cms by 8 cms.
Matt and layer the two border pieces with the black card.
Using foam pads attach the longest layer on the bottom of the card base in front of the front left fold.
Then attach the shortest layer on the bottom of the card base in front of the front right fold, slightly more towards the front of the card base.
These are to make stoppers for the front folds.

Layer five:
Using the leaf die cut out two leaves from black card and attach them to the bottom of the card base on the left corner
Then cut out one of the small Gorilla images and using foam pads attach to the bottom of the card base slightly over lapping the leaves.

Layer Six:
Using one of the sentiment dies, cut the matt layer out in black card.
Cut the sentiment out in one of the backing papers.
Matt and layer together and attach to the bottom of the card base.
