0 3 Comments

Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at SheepSki Designs challenge blog #92.

The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes.

For my Design Team card I have used one of SheepSki Designs digital images called Rudolf’s Little Helper.

Handmade card using a digital image from Sheepski Designs

You Will Need:
7″ x 7″ White Card Base
White Card
SheepSki Designs Digital Image – Rudolf’s Little Helper

Glue / Double Sided Tape

Instructions:

Print and Prepare the Digital Image:
Print the Rudolf’s Little Helper digital image onto white card.
Print one pattern paper ( with trees ) and one solid colour paper from Wild Chums collection.

Create Layer One:
Cut a square from the solid paper measuring 16.5 cm x 16.5 cm.
Cut a square from the pattern paper measuring 16 cm x 16 cm.
Cut a piece from pearl white card measuring 5.5 cm x 16 cm.
Matt and layer these pieces together adding the pearl white card to the bottom.
Attach to the front of the card base.

Create Layer Two:
Use the wavy die with pearl white card to cut several die-cut pieces.
Lay out the wavy die cuts on the card base to resemble snow mounds.
Use foam pads to adhere the die cuts to the card base, creating added dimension and a layered snow effect.
Use the tree dies with green card to cut two trees die-cut pieces.
Use a white gel pen to draw snow-like accents on the trees.
Position the trees on your card base.
Secure them in place using foam pads to create dimension.

Colour the Digital Image:
Use Promarker pens to colour the Rudolf’s Little Helper digital image.
Here are the colours I used:

Rudolf : Terracotta, caramel, burnt umber, oatmeal, henna, burnt sienna, ice grey 1, 2, black, baby pink, antique pink, firebrick, cardinal red, red, berry red, crimson.

Cut around the image, leaving a small white border.
Attach to the card design using foam pads.

Create Layer Four:
Use a sentiment die to cut the matt layer from the solid coloured paper.
Cut the sentiment words from pearl white card.
Attach the sentiment words onto the matt layer to create a layered effect.
Position the layered sentiment on the card base and attach using foam pads for added dimension.
Use the snow flake punch to cut some die-cuts pieces.
Add them to the card base.

Final Touches:
To finish, add an insert to the inside of the card base for a personal message.
