Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #425 that starts today.
I have used a digi image from Digi Doodles Studios called Rusty And Ruffles.
The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes with the option of Christmas.
You must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
A5 White Card
Promarkers
Digi Doodles Studios Digi Image Called Rusty And Ruffles
The Big One Backgrounds Cd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Sentiments Volume XVI Die Collection
Snowflake Punch
Corner Punch
Red Pearls
White Card
Silver Mirri Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Print off the digi image and cut to measure 9.5 cms by 13 cms.
From the cd-rom choose three Christmas backing papers.
Layer one:
Cut a piece from silver mirri card measuring 14.5 cm by 20.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 14 cms by 20 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Layer two:
Cut a piece from silver mirri card measuring 14.5 cm by 7 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 14.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads on the left.
Layer three:
Cut a square from silver mirri card measuring 6 cm by 6 cms.
Cut a square from the third paper measuring 5 cms by 5.5 cms.
Cut each square in half from corner to corner.
Matt and layer together making two triangles.
Attach each to the card base using foam pads on the top and bottom right corners.
Layer four:
Colour in the Rusty And Ruffles digi image using promarkers.
Dogs: Burnt sienna, raw sienna. tan, dusky rose, cocktail pink.
Hat: Crimson, ruby, cardinal red, warm grey 5, warm grey 3, warm grey 1.
Bed: Midnight blue, cadet blue, grey green.
Present: Sunflower, canary, buttercup
Then cut a piece from silver mirri card measuring 10 cms by 13.5 cms.
Cut each corner of the silver mirri card and digi image using the corner punch.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping layer two.
Layer five:
Using a sentiment die, cut the matt die from silver mirri card.
Cut the sentiment die from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.
To finish cut a few snowflakes out using the snowflake punch and attach them to the card base.
Add red pearls to the centre of the snowflakes.
