Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #382 that starts today.

The optional theme for this challenge is to add embossing.

However you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

I have used a digi image from Ike’s Art called Saucy Steampunk.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
Promarkers
Ike’s Art Digi Image – Saucy Steampunk
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Missing You Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Butterfly Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Sentiment Volume XII
Leonie Pujol – Dotty Heart Embossing Folder
Todo- Stain Glass Window Embossing Folder
Assorted Cog Dies
White Card
Purple Card
Silver Mirri Card
Purple Gems
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digi stamp and colour in with promarkers.

The promarkers used were :

Skin: Putty, satin
Hair: Lavender, Pastel yellow, Violet
Hat / Glasses: Cinnamon, burnt sienna, cool grey 1
Arm Decorations: Burnt sienna, cinnamon, cool grey 3, cool grey 1
Clothes: Violet, lavender, amethyst, burnt sienna, cinnamon
Boots: Cool grey 1, cool grey 3, cool grey 5

Next cut a square from purple card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Using the Missing You die collection cut the matt layer out in purple card.
Cut the doily die out in white card and silver mirri card.
Keep all the pieces that fall out of the doily dies.
Matt and layer together and cut in half.
Paper piece the silver mirri card pieces to the doily die.

Next using the small circle die from the Missing You die collection cut a circle out of purple card.
Emboss the circle die cut with the Dotty Heart embossing folder.
Cut in half and attach to the doily die cut half.
Attach this layer to the top left of the card base.

Emboss a piece of white card with the Stain Glass Window embossing folder.
Cut in half and attach each half together to make the white card longer.
Cut the white card to measure 19.5 cms by 7 cms.
The cut a piece from purple card measuring 19.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach across the centre of the card base using foam pads slightly over lapping the doily die layer.

Next cut the digi image to measure 19 cms by 7.5 cms.
Cut a piece from purple card measuring 19.5 cms by 8 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the right of the card base using foam pads.

Next using the cog dies cut three out in silver mirri card.
Attach to the card base.
Please see picture for reference.
Add a couple of purple gems to the cogs.

From purple card cut a butterfly using the Butterfly die collection.
Cut the butterfly body out of silver mirri card.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base over lapping the cogs.

Using a sentiment from the Sentiment Volume XII die collection, cut the matt layer out in purple card.
Cut the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the bottom left of the card base using foam pads.
