Today’s two handmade cards have been made using the brand new Pollyanna Pickering cd-rom called ‘Sketch Book Chapter IX The Best of Breeds Volume II’ from Creative Crafting World.
For these cards I have used the Retriever image and paper collection from the cd-rom.
To make this card you will need :
8″ by 8″ Cream Card Base
Woodstock Card – Blue
Cream Card
Sketch Book Chapter IX The Best of Breeds Volume II Cd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Flowers & Leaves Cutting Dies
Circle Dies
Pearls
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Instructions:
From the cd-rom print off three papers and an image sheet that includes a circle image and a sentiment.
Cut a piece from the blue woodstock card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms and a piece from one of the papers measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer these together and attach to the card base.
Next from the blue woodstock card cut two squares measuring 8 cms by 8 cms and a square from each of the others papers measuring 7.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer these together using foam pads and attach one to the top left and one to the bottom right on the card base.
Using the circle dies cut a larger circle out in the blue woodstock card, a smaller circle in the papers that was first used.
Matt and layer these together along with the topper image using foam pads.
Attach to the centre of the card base slightly over lapping the two square layers.
Cut a matt layer out for the sentiment in cream card. Make this slightly larger than the sentiment giving it a small border.
Matt and layer together using foam pads and attach to the top right of the card base.
Then using two flower dies from the flower and leave die collection, cut the small flower die twice out of cream card and then the slightly larger flower die twice out of the blue woodstock card.
Matt and layer these together and add to the bottom left of the card base and add a pearl bead to the centre.

7″ by 10″ Cream Card Base
Kraft Card
Cream Card
Woodstock Card – Blue

Round Corner Cutter
Pearls
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape

Instructions:
From the cd-rom print off three papers and an image sheet that includes an oval image and sentiment. If you have made the card above then this image and sentiment is from the same sheet.
Cut a piece from kraft card measuring 7 cms by 23 cms and a piece from one of the papers measuring 6.5 cms by 22.5 cms.
Use the corner cutter on each corner.
Matt and layer these together and attach to the left side of the card base.
Cut two pieces from kraft card measuring 8 cms by 11 cms and a piece from each of the other papers measuring 7.5 cms by 10.5 cms.
Use the corner cutter on each corner.
Matt and layer these together and attach one to the top right and one to the bottom right on the card base.
Leave a small border around each of these matts and layers when attaching to the card base. Please see picture for reference.
Cut a piece from cream card measuring 7.5 cms by 10 cms and a piece from one of the papers measuring 7 cms by 9.5 cms.
Matt and layer these together and then using foam pads attach the topper to this layer.
Attach to the centre of the card base using foam pads slightly over lapping the other matts and layers.
Cut out two flourishes in cream card and attach to the bottom left corner of the topper.
Then using three flower dies from the flower and leave die collection, cut the smallest in cream card then the next size up in the blue woodstock card and then the next in kraft card.
Matt and layer these together and attach to the bottom left corner of the topper.
Add a pearl bead to the centre.
To finish the card cut a cream matt layer out for the sentiment. Make this slightly larger than the sentiment giving it a small border.
Matt and layer together using foam pads and attach to the top right of the card base.
