Today’s handmade card is an easel hat card using the spring celebration paper pad from Creative Crafting World.

You will need :

6″ By 6″ White Card Base
A4 White Card
12″ By 12″ White Card
The Paper Boutique Spring Celebration – Decorative Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Missing You Die Collection
Blue Ribbon
Decorative Gem
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Card Base Construction:

Place the matt layer of the doily die on to the 6″ by 6″ white card base, slightly overlapping the centre fold and run through your die cutting machine.

Then once cut, fold the front of the card base to the centre and this will make the easel shape card for this design.

Cut out the matt die from white card and then using the circle die cut two from white card.

Next using the 12″ by 12″ white card, cut a strip measuring 5 cms.
Score each of the long sides at 1 cm.

Then cut teeth into each sides of the strip.

Using a bone folder, slightly curve the white strip, this will make it easier to attach.

Using wet glue attach the white strip to the edge of one of the white circles.

Then attach the second white circle to the top.

Card Construction:

Layer one:
Cut the decorative die twice from a backing paper.
Attach one to the bottom of the card base and one to the separate matt layer.

Layer two:
Using the circle die, cut a circle from a backing paper.
Attach to the top of the cylinder.

Then add ribbon around the outside.

Attach the cylinder to the separate matt layer and attach to the card base.

Layer three:
Using a flower topper from the paper pad, cut out the image and attach to the bottom of the card base.
Next decoupage the flower using foam pads, along with a small sentiment.
This will act as a stopper for the front of the card base.

Layer four:
Cut out one of the bird toppers and attach to the top of the hat using foam pads.
Next add a small sentiment.

Layer five:
Make a bow from the ribbon and attach to the side of the hat.
Adding a decorative gem to the centre.
