Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #245 that starts today.
The theme for this challenge is Anything Goes + A Sentiment.
For my card I have used a digi image from The Art And Creations Of Lauren C Waterworth called Steampunk Owl
Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.
8″ by 8″ White Card

Chameleon Pens
The Paper Boutique Steampunk Romance – You Make My World Turn Die Collection
Debbi Moore Designs – Steampunk Steam Age Usb Key
Brown Card
Black Card
Corner Punch
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads
Print off the Steampunk Owl digi image and then choose one paper from the usb and one sentiment.
Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from the paper measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Layer two:
Using the doily die set, cut the matt die from black card.
Cut the decorative die from brown card.
Matt and layer together and cut in half, corner to corner.
Attach half to the card base on the right, leaving a small border on the right.
Layer three:
Cut a piece from brown card measuring 5.5 cms by 5.5 cms.
Cut a piece from black card measuring 5 cms by 5 cms.
Cut a piece from the paper measuring 4.5 cms by 4.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base on the right slightly over lapping layer two.
Layer four:
Colour in the Steampunk Owl digi image.
For my image I used Chameleon pens.
Owl: Br4, Br1, Br3, Or4, Wg7, Wg3, Ol3, Bk4, Rd5.
Cut out the Steampunk Owl digi image leaving a small white border.
Then attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping layer two and three.
Layer five:
Cut a piece of black card measuring 4 cms by 5.5 cms and round the corners using the corner punch.
Cut the sentiment out and round the corners using the corner punch.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Layer six:
Using the cog embellishments from the die set, cut two from black card and one from brown card.
Attach to the card base on the bottom of layer two.
