Steampunk : Steam Age

Todays easel card has been made using ‘Steam Age‘ cd by Debbi Moore.

You will need:

Steam Age cd-rom
1 x 7″ by 10″ white card
Gold mirri Card
Bow die
Cog dies
Gold gem
Wet glue
Foam pads

Instructions:

Choose two papers, two toppers and cog elements from the cd.

Score the front of the white card base at 3.5″. This will make an easel shape card for this design.

Cut out all matts and layers.

Gold mirri card :
1 x 24.5cms by 17cms (card base)
1 x 24.5cms by 8cms (card front)
1 x 24.5cms by 4cms (easel front stopper)
1 x 14.5cms by 14.5cms (topper matt)
1 x 10.2cms by 14.5cms (topper matt)
2 x Cog die cuts

If you have chosen smaller toppers cut the base matt 0.5cms larger than the topper to give a slight border.

Paper :
1 x 24cms by 16.5cms (card base)
1 x 24cms by 8cms (card front)
1 x 24cms by 3.5cms (easel front stopper)

Next matt and layer all the card and paper cuts together. For example the gold mirri card measuring 24.5cms by 17cms is a matt for the paper measuring 24cms by 16.5cms.

Once all the matts and layer are together attach the card base set and the card front set to the white base card.

Then using foam pads attach the easel front stopper set to the card base. This needs to be positioned just enough to let the front fold come forward slightly making an easel shape.

Next attach the two toppers to the front fold of the card and arrange the die cut cogs and the cut out cog elements on the base of the card.

Final to finish off the card attach the sentiment to the card base and make a matching bow with a gold gem in the centre.
