Today’s handmade card tutorial is for a Diamond fold card.
I have used a digital download collection called Such A Hoot from The Crafty Witches.

You will need :

A4 White Card
The Crafty Witches – Such A Hoot Digital Download Collection
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose and print, three plain papers, three patterned papers, one sentiment and three toppers.

Diamond Fold Card

Cut a piece of A4 white card measuring 10 cms by 30 cms.
Score along the long edge at 5 cms, 10 cms, 20 cms and 25 cms,.

Next make a pencil mark halfway at the top and bottom, between the 10 cms and 20 cms scorelines.

Score a line from the top and bottom of the 5 cms scoreline to the pencil mark.

Repeat this on the opposite side from the 25 cms scoreline.

To fold the card, the diamond in the centre is a mountain fold.
The 10 cms and 20 cms scorelines are valley folds.
The 5 cms and and 25 cms scorelines are valleys folds.

Repeat the folds on each side.

The card design will then stand like this.

The diamond fold card can be kept and decorated like this.
However I added two pieces of card to the sides to make it slightly larger.
On the left side, cut a piece of white card measuring 10 cms by 12 cms.
On the right side, cut a piece of white card measuring 10 cms by 8 cms.
I added my papers to these two pieces before adding to the diamond fold card.

Matts And Layers

Layer one:
Cut two pieces from the first plain paper measuring 9.5 cms by 4.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the first patterned paper measuring 9 cms by 4 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to either side of the card base.

I love the card and the effect. I don’t think I could manage it – I am a ‘square’ card kinda girl but I do admire the work that goes into them. Thank you for sharing everything with us.
