Vintage Rose

Vintage Rose

My card today has been made using Vintage Rose mini easels cd by Debbi Moore.

I just love the colours of the roses.

Materials used:

6″ by 6″ white scallop card
Shabby Chic: Vintage Rose Mini Easel cd rom
Cream card
Lace
Pearls/Flower pearl
Foam pads
Glue

Instructions:

Choose an image from the cd and cut out all the elements.

Score the white card base at an angle (like the below image)

This will form your easel shape.

Cut two pieces  of cream card approx 14 cms by 14 cms and 13.5 cms by 13.5 cms.

Cut the topper to size, approx 13 cms by 13 cms, matt and layer this on to the cream card that measures approx 14 cms by 14 cms.

Attach some lace to the bottom of the topper.

Cut the base paper approx 13 cms by 13 cms matt and layer this on to the cream card that measures approx 13.5 cms by 13.5 cms.

Next using the border (one of the elements from the image set) glue  one piece to the front and one side of the base paper.

Attach the topper to your easel card (please see picture for reference) leave a thin border so you can still see the scallop edging.

Glue the base layer and again leave a thin border on the card base.

Put foam pads onto the sentiment and place this on the base of the card. This then becomes the stopper for the top part of the card.

To finish off the card design add the other elements from the image sheet (in this case a butterfly and single rose) and then add the pearls to the topper and a lace bow to the card base.

Christmas Flowers

This Christmas card has been made using A Winter Walk in the Countryside cd rom.

Images are by Betty Davis.

As you will see this is a quick and easy card to make.

Materials used:

6″ by 6″ white scallop card
A Winter Walk in the Countryside cd rom
Red card
Small red gem
Foam tape
Glue
Double sided tape

Instructions:

When the disc has been opened choose an image and then select Designer Toppers from the list. This then gives you a complete design to use.

Cut out all the elements on the page.

Using the paper you have been given, cut this to 14cms by 14cms.

Attach one of the borders you have cut out going across the centre of the paper using double sided tape.

Glue this to the white scallop card using double sided tape.

Next measure a piece of red card approx 12.5cms by 12.5cms.

Place your topper on to the red card using double sided tape.

To place the topper on to the card use foam tape to give your card a little dimension.

To finish the card added your bows and red gem and a suitable Christmas sentiment.

The Magic Of Christmas

The Magic Of Christmas

Here are three Christmas cards that  have been made using The Magic of Christmas cd rom by Debbi Moore Designs.

Snow and Ice Volume II – Arctic Fox

Snow and Ice Volume II – Arctic Fox

This card has been made using Snow and Ice Volume II dvd-rom from Creative Crafting World with beautiful images by Pollyanna Pickering.

Materials used:

8″ by 8″ white scallop card
Snow & Ice Volume II dvd-rom
White card
Silver mirri card
2 different sized flower die
Flourish ( I used one of Debbi Moore Floral Flourishes)
Snowflake die ( I used x-cut Palm Punch)
Large and Small pearls
White ribbon
Foam pads
Glue
Double sided tape

Instructions:

The first matt and layer is made up from silver mirri card (measuring approx 19cms by 19cms) and a background paper (measuring approx 18.5cms by 18.5cms) from the dvd. Once layered you then add the ribbon to the layers. I have used double sided tape to attach the ribbon (see image for placement), this is then attached with glue to the white scallop card.

Next measure and cut the silver mirri card (approx 13.5cms by 13.5cms) and the white card (approx 12.5cms by 12.5cms) matt and layer these together using the foam pads. Then added your topper to this again using foam pads. This gives your card dimension

Use glue to attach the topper and sentiment to your card as per picture.

Next cut out one of each of the flower dies from the silver mirri card. Then cut out 1 of the smaller flower die and 2 flourishes from the background paper.

Matt and layer the flowers using glue attach these to your card along with the flourishes (see picture).

Using the snowflake punch cut out 6 of these from white card adding these with glue to your topper.

Then for the final touch add the large pearl to the flower and the smaller ones to the snowflakes.

For the inside of the card you do get inserts on the dvd-rom or you could repeat the first matt and layer and instead of adding the topper or ribbon you can add a square piece of white card (approx 12cms by 12cms) and this will give enough room for a message.

The Story So Far…Christmas Moments

The Story So Far…Christmas Moments

This card has been made using The Story So Far…Christmas Moments dvd-rom.

The beautiful image is by Pollyanna Pickering.

Materials used:

8″ by 8″ white scallop card
Brown card
White card
Gold mirri card
Green card
Vellum (Space dust)
Background paper (printed from the dvd)
Topper image (printed from the dvd)
2 different sized Flower die
Ivy die
Gold gems
Ribbon
Foam pads
Glue

Instructions:

The first matt and layer is made up from brown card (measuring approx 19cms by 19cms) and a background paper (measuring approx 18.5cms by 18.5cms) from the dvd. Once layered, this is then glued to the white scallop card.

Next measure and cut the brown card (approx 19cms by 11cms) and the vellum (approx 19cms by 10cms) matt and layer these together along with the ribbon. Using the glue attach this to your card leaving a border on the top and bottom (see picture)

Now for the topper, you will need white card (measuring approx 15cms by 11cms), brown card (measuring approx 14.5cms by 10.5cms). Matt and layer these up using the foam pads and then using foam pads attach the topper image. This gives your card dimension.

Use glue to attach the topper and sentiment to your card as per picture.

Using the card and small flower die cut out 2 white and one gold and with the larger flower die cut out 1 gold. Then cut out 2 ivy leaves.

Matt and layer the flowers (see picture) using glue attach these to your card along with the ivy leaves.

Then the final touch is using glue and adding the gold gems.

Butterfly Garden Collection

Butterfly Garden Collection

Here are the samples that I made for Creative Crafting World using the Butterfly Collection.

In this collection you can get paper pads that come with matching toppers, a topper popper pad, sentiments and stamps.

The paper pads come in either rose pink or cornflower blue.

.

The card above was made using the stamps from the collection. I stamped onto the papers in the kit to make the flowers.

On this card I used the stamps to make the flowers and added them to my leaf drawing.

I also used the flower stamp to make my own insert and added a couple to the envelope.

The above card is made using one of the inserts. I have used two insert sheets on this card as I have decoupaged the butterflies and flower.

On this card I have used the butterfly stamp and again used the stamp to make a matching insert.

This card has also been made using the insert sheets and also decoupaged.
