Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge #400 that starts today.
I have used a digi image from Ikes Art called The Cathouse Tree

The theme for this challenge is anything goes, but you must use either promarkers, flexmarkers, aquamarkers or trias on your work.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
Ikes Art Digi Image called The Cathouse Tree
Promarkers
The Big One Backgrounds Cd-Rom
The Paper Boutique Wreath Collection – Sentiment Collection
White Card
Dark Red Card
Ribbon
Decorative Pearl
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digi image and two papers from the cd rom.

Layer one:
Cut a square from dark red card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from the first paper measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 9 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a piece from dark red card measuring 8.5 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a piece from the second card measuring 8 cms by 20 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach a strip of ribbon across the centre.
Then attach across the centre of the card base.

Layer three:
Colour in the digi image The Cathouse Tree with promarkers.

Cats: Black, cocoa, cool grey 1, pastel pink, gold, pumpkin, tan, blush, spice, burnt sienna, cool grey 4, cool grey 2, almond, ivory, cool grey 5.
Cat hat: Berry red, lipstick.
Tree: Meadow green, grass, lush green, sienna, cinnamon, turquoise.
Mice: Cool grey 1, cool grey 3, pink carnation,
Presents: Poppy, lipstick, arctic blue, gold, pumpkin, lavender, amethyst, fuchsia, lemon.

Cut the digi image to measure 17 cms by 13 cms.
Cut a piece from dark red card measuring 17.5 cms by 13.5 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 18 cms by 14 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base on the left over lapping the last two layers.

Layer four:
Using a sentiment, cut the matt die from dark red card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base on the top left using foam pads.

To finish make a bow and attach it the layer two.
Add a decorative pearl to the centre of the bow.
