This handmade card has been created using ‘The Magical Forest’ paper collection from Creative Crafting World.

I thought the images in this collection were perfect for a Mother’s day card.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
The Paper Boutique Magical Forest – Paper Kit
The Paper Boutique The Magical Forest – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Forever Friends Cutting Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Butterfly Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Occasions and Celebrations Volume I
Black Card
White Card
Pearl beads
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Cut a square from black card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Then cut a square out of blue card from the coloured card collection measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Cut a square from black card measuring 15 cms by 15 cms.
Choose a paper from the paper kit and cut a square measuring 14.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the centre of the card base.

Cut a piece from black card measuring 19 cms by 5 cms.
Choose a paper from the paper kit and cut a piece measuring 18.5 cms by 4.5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the left of the card base using foam pads leaving a larger border to the right than the left.

Using the doily die from Forever Friends cutting die collection cut the matt layer out in black card.
Then cut the doily die out in white card.
Next using the centre circle cut a circle out in one of the chosen papers.
Matt and layer together and attach a circle topper using foam pads.
Attach to card base using foam pads slightly over lapping the last layer.

Using the small butterfly die from Forever Friends cutting die collection cut eight out in blue card.
Attach the butterflies to the doily die cut.
Add pearl beads to the butterflies.

Using a butterfly from the Butterfly die collection cut one out in white card and one out in blue card.
Cut the butterfly body out in black card.
Matt and layer together and attach to top left of the card base.
Add small pearl beads to the butterfly body.

Using a sentiment cut the matt layer out in black card.
Then cut the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the bottom of the card base using foam pads.
