Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #278.

The theme for this challenge is Fairy Magic + A Sentiment.

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.

We could make any card this time so I have used a digital image from Digi Doodles Studios called Tiana Fairy.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

A4 White Card
Digi Doodles Studios Digital Image Tiana Fairy
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique Serenity Gardens – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Serenity Gardens – 8″ By 8″ Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Serenity Gardens – Embellishment Pad
White Card
Glossy Accents
Corner Punch
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the digital image Tiana Fairy twice, choose two papers, two coloured cards, two flower toppers and two sentiments.

For the card base, cut the A4 white card to measure 17 cms, keeping the length the same.
Score at 3.5 cms and 7 cms each side.
Then from the A4 card cut a piece measuring 4 cms by 22.7 cms.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 16.5 cms by 15 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 16 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer two:
Cut four pieces from the second coloured card measuring 16.5 cms by 3 cms.
Cut four pieces from the second paper measuring 16 cms by 2.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the sides of the card base.

Layer three:
Colour in one of Tiana Fairy digital images leaving the flowers.
Then colour the flowers on the second digital image.
I used promarkers to colour in the images.

Skin / Lips: Dusky pink, blush, carmine
Hair: Chestnut, cocoa, spice, tan
Dress: Plum, aubergine, purple
Wings: Mustard, tulip yellow, yellow
Flowers: Carmine, salmon pink, cocktail pink, sunflower, meadow green
Hair Beads: Carmine, salmon pink

Next add gold glitter glue to the wings and centre of the flowers.
Then add Glossy accents to the hair beads.
Then cut out the flowers and decoupage to the first digital image using foam pads.

Layer four:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 13.5 cms by 10.5 cms.
Cut the digital image to measure 13 cms by 10 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Cut a piece from the second coloured card measuring 3.5 cms by 21.7 cms.
Attach to the strip of white card then attach to the bottom of the card base, only add adhesive to the ends of the strip.

Layer five:
From the two flower toppers, cut out the flower images and attach to layer four.

Layer six:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 4.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer with one of the sentiments and attach to layer four.
Next cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 4 cms by 5.5 cms.
Cut the second sentiment to measure 3.5 cms by 5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the top right of the card base.

Layer seven:
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 16.5 cms by 15 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 16 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the back of the card base.
