Toadstool Head – Believe In The Magic Of Christmas

Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.

The theme for the challenge is Anything Goes.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Toadstool Head.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Stamp Called Toadstool Head
Promarkers
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Paper Kit 
The Paper Boutique Once Upon A Christmas – Decorative Panels
Grey Card
White Card
Circle Dies
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Toadstool Head on to white card.
Choose two of the same decorative panel papers, one circle topper and one insert.

Layer one:
Cut a square from grey card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together along with the first decorative panel and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Using a circle die, slightly larger than the circle topper, cut a circle from grey card.
Matt and layer with the circle topper.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Toadstool Head, I used promarkers.

Skin / Face: Ivory, almond, dusky pink. pale pink. hot pink, cerise.
Hair: Salmon pink, ruby.
Clothes: Putty, dusky rose.
Wings: Sunflower, soft lime, gold.
Mushroom Hat / Legs: Hot pink, burgundy, gold, red, berry red, burnt sienna, apricot, raw sienna.
Holly: Holly, crimson.

Cut around the digital image, leaving a small white border.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Using the second decorative panel, cut a few of the images from around the outside.
Attach to the card base using foam pads.
Then to finish, add the insert to the centre of the card base.
