Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog #296

The theme for this challenge is Summer + A Sentiment

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be follow and a sentiment included.

Handmade card using a digital image from Digi Doodle Studios called Tori Tripe Scoop

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ x 8″ White Card Base
Digi Doodle Studios digital image Tori Triple Scoop
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique Lovely Days – Coloured Card
The Paper Boutique Lovely Days – 8″ x 8″ Paper Pad
White Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose three coloured cards, two backing papers ( one with butterflies ).

Layer one:
Cut a square from the first coloured card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the second coloured card measuring 16 cms by 16 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Colour in the digital image Tori Triple Scoop, I used Promarkers.

Hair: Chestnut, walnut, cinnamon, sandstone.
Skin: Almond: blush, dusky pink, antique pink.
Clothes: Salmon pink, baby pink, blossom, tulip yellow, buttercup, cool grey 4, cobalt blue, arctic blue, grey green, blush, satin.
Ice Cream: Burnt sienna, raw sienna, spice, crimson, berry red, lipstick red, mandarin, mango, honeycomb, apricot, amber, sunflower.

Cut a piece from the second coloured card measuring 15.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut the digital image Tori Triple Scoop to measure 15 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Using word on the computer, type and print out the sentiment.
Using the first coloured card, cut matt layers for the sentiment.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Using the butterfly backing paper, cut three butterflies out and attach to the card base.

Layer five:
Cut a square from the third coloured card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the first coloured card measuring 15 cms by 15 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 14.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.
