Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog #289

The theme for this challenge is Christmas / Winter / New year + A Sentiment.

You can make any type of project such as a card, tag, scrapbook layout, pocket letter, box etc.
The theme must be follow and a sentiment included.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card
Jan’s Digi Stamps Digi Image Toy Stocking
Promarker Pens
The Paper Boutique A Traditional Christmas – Insert Collection
The Paper Boutique A Traditional Christmas – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique A Traditional Christmas – Paper Pad
White Card
Silver Glitter Glue
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image on to white card.
Choose one patterned paper, two inserts (one for the front and one for the inside) and one coloured card.

Layer one:
Cut a square from coloured card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the insert measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Colour in the digital image Toy Stocking, I used promarkers.

Stocking: Crimson, poppy, berry red, cool grey 4, 2, 1.
Bear: Praline, champagne, dusky pink, coral, putty, almond, aegean, azure.
Trumpet: Gold, tulip, sunflower.
Candy Cane: Crimson, poppy, lipstick red.
Lolly: Violet, bluebell, plum, purple.
Holly: Crimson, carmine, holly, emerald.

Cut a piece from coloured card measuring 14.5 cms by 9 cms.
Cut the digi image to measure 14 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.
Add some silver glitter glue to the top of the stocking.

Layer three:
Cut a piece of coloured card measuring 4.5 cms by 7 cms.
Cut the sentiment to measure 4 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Using the patterned paper, cut a couple of images out/
Then attach to the corners of the sentiment, using foam pads on some.

Layer five:
Cut the second insert to measure 19 cms in height.
Then attach to the inside of the card base.
