This handmade card has been created using a new paper collection called ‘Tropical Dreams’.

This handmade card has been created using a new paper collection called ‘Tropical Dreams’. This is a paper collection from The Paper Boutique range from Creative Crafting World.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
The Paper Boutique Tropical Dreams Paper Kit
The Paper Boutique Tropical Dreams Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique Springtime Blooms – Live Life In Full Bloom Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Butterfly Die Collection
Small Butterfly Die
White Card
Chocolate Card
Brown Ribbon
White Ribbon
Brown Pearl
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Cut a square from chocolate card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Using a card from the coloured card collection and cut a square measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach brown ribbon to the centre.
Attach to the card base.

Cut a square from white card measuring 15.5 cms by 15.5 cms.
Cut a square from chocolate card measuring 15 cms by 15 cms.
Choose a paper from the paper kit and cut a square measuring 14.5 cms by 14.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Using the doily die set from Live Life In Full Bloom die collection, cut the matt layer out in chocolate card.
Then cut the doily die out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base in the centre of the last layer.

Using white card cut a piece measuring 20 cms by 6 cms.
Then using chocolate card cut a piece measuring 19.5 cms by 5.5 cms.
Choose a paper from the paper kit and cut a piece measuring 19 cms by 5 cms.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base using foam pads over lapping the doily layer. Please see picture for reference.

Cut a circle out of the coloured card using the centre circle die from the Live Life In Full Bloom die collection.
Matt and layer with a circle topper using foam pads.
Attach to the centre of the doily layer slightly over lapping the last layer.
Use foam pads to attach to the card base.

Make a bow using the brown and white ribbon and add a brown pearl bead to the centre.
Attach to the left of the topper.

Using the sentiment from the Live Life In Full Bloom die collection cut the matt layer out in chocolate card.
Cut the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the bottom right of the card base.

To finish cut a large butterfly out of coloured card using the Butterfly die collection.
Then cut a smaller butterfly out of coloured card.
Attach to the card base.
