Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge.

For my Design Team card I have used one of SheepSki Designs digital images called Tropical.

The theme for the challenge is to use Die Cuts or Punches.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card Base
SheepSki Designs Digital Stamp Called Tropical
Promarkers
The Crafty Witches –Take It Easy Digital Download Collection
The Crafty Witches –Bunny Kisses Digital Download Collection
White Card
Black Card
Heart Dies
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Tropical twice on to white card.
From the Take It Easy collection, print two patterned papers.
From the Bunny Kisses collection, print the plain pink paper and sentiment sheet.

Layer one:
Cut a square from black card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 19.5 cms by 7.5 cms.
Cut a piece from black card measuring 19.5 cms by 7 cms.
Then cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 19.5 cms by 6.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the left, using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the leaves on one of the Tropical images, then colour in the bird, branch and flower on the second image.
I used promarkers.

Leaves: Holly, pine, grass.
Bird: Black, cool grey 5, 4. ice grey 2, 1, marine, mandarin, honeycomb.
Branch: Chestnut, caramel, burnt sienna.
Flower: Fuchsia pink, mulberry, hot pink, orange.

Using heart dies, cut a heart from black card.
Then cut the leaf image with a slightly smaller heart die.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base, using foam pads.

Then cut around the second coloured image with the bird and flower.
Layer this to the first image using foam pads.
It will slightly over lap the heart shape.

Layer four:
Using four heart dies, cut two from black card.
Next cut the smaller ones from pink paper.
Matt and layer together.
Attach to the card base, slightly coming from the underneath of layer three ( Heart).

Layer five:
Cut two black matts for two sentiments, matt and layer together.
Attach one to the top and one to the bottom of the card base.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
