Today’s handmade card has been created for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments challenge blog #247 that starts today.

The theme for this challenge is Spring/Easter Sentiment.

For my card I have used a digi image from Polkadoodles called Tulip The Darling Buds

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
Polkadoodles called Tulip The Darling Buds
Chameleon Pens
The Paper Boutique Summer Blooms – Paper Pad
The Paper Boutique Summer Blooms – Insert Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet – Butterfly Die Collection
The Paper Boutique Occasions and Celebrations Vol. I
Pink Card
White Card
Pearl Beads
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print off the Tulip The Darling Buds digi image and then choose two papers and one insert.

Layer one:
Cut a square from pink card measuring 20 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a square from the insert measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from pink card measuring 16 cms by 11 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 15.5 cms by 10.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base on the right.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from pink card measuring 3 cms by 20 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 2.5 cms by 20 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach across the centre of the card base using foam pads.

Layer four:
Colour in the Tulip The Darling Buds digi image.
For my image I used Chameleon pens.

Skin / Eyes: Nu1, Bl3.
Hair: Br1.
Clothes: Pk5, Pk2
Flowers / Leaves: Pk5, Pk3, Pk2, Gr4, Gr2.

Cut a piece from pink card measuring 14.5 cms by 9 cms.
Cut the digi image to measure 14 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads, slightly over lapping all layers.

Layer five:
Using the Easter sentiment die, cut the matt die from pink card.
Cut the sentiment from white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer six:
Using a butterfly die, cut the butterfly from pink card.
Attach to layer three and add pearl beads to the centre.
