This handmade easel card has been created using a new Paper Boutique paper collection and die collection from Creative Crafting World called It’s A Dogs Life.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

2 x DL White Cards
The Paper Boutique It’s A Dogs Life – Coloured Card Collection
The Paper Boutique It’s A Dogs Life – Paper Kit
The Paper Boutique It’s A Dogs Life – Embellishment Pad
The Paper Boutique It’s A Dogs Life – Walkies Time Beyond Border Die Collection
Brown Card
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose two coloured cards, one patterned paper and sentiment.

Card Shape:
Using one of the DL cards, score and fold the front in half.

Then cut the other DL card in half.

Only one piece will be used in this card design.

Layer one:
Cut a piece from brown card measuring 20.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the first coloured card measuring 20 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together.

Then cut a piece from brown card measuring 4.5 cms by 7 cms.
Matt and layer this with the sentiment.

Next attach these layers to the bottom of the card base.
When attaching the sentiment use double foam pads as this will make the stopper for the front fold.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from brown card measuring 20.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the patterned paper measuring 20 cms by 9 cms.

Matt and layer together and attach to one of the DL halves.

Layer three:
Cut out the decorative dog die from the second coloured card.
You will need to use the first matt die from the die set along with the decorative dog die.

Layer four:
Cut out the first matt die from brown card.

Layer five:
Cut out the second matt die from the first coloured card

Layer six:
Matt and layer together layer three, four and five

Next attach to layer two using foam pads.

Then attach to the front fold of the card base.

Layer seven:
Cut a square from brown card measuring 9 cms by 9 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 8.5 cms by 8.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the back of the card base.
This is where you can write a message.
