I needed a birthday card for my little niece. She loves fairies so what better disc to use than ‘Summer Fairies’ by Debbi Moore.

I decided to make an easel shape card and added a couple of lady bugs to the design.

You will need:

Summer Fairies cd-rom
8″ by 8″ White Scallop Card
A4 Gold Mirri Card
A4 White Card
Lady Bug die (I used Garden Creatures By Sweet Dixie)
Coloured Pens (I used Pro Markers)
Foam Pads
Double sided Tape

Instructions:

To start print off the image and two papers from the cd-rom. Cut out all the elements that you need for this card design.

Decoupage the fairy using foam pads.

Score the front of the white scallop base card 4″ and fold inwards.
This will make the easel shape for this card design.

From the gold mirri card cut :
1 x 19 cms by 19 cms
1 x 19 cms by 9 cms
1 x 14 cms by 14 cms
1 x 10 cms by 6 cms

Next cut a 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms square from one of the papers.
Using double sided tape matt and layer this onto the gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Attach this to the bottom of the white base card.

Then cut a piece from the other paper measuring 18.5 cms by 8.5 cms and matt and layer this on to the gold mirri card measuring 19 cms by 9 cms.
Attach this to the front fold of the white base card.

Next cut the border (that was on the image paper) 18.5 cms in length.
Using foam pads attached this to the base card.
This will make the stopper to hold the front fold of the card in place.

Cut a 14.5 cms by 14.5 cms out of white card.
Matt and layer the gold mirri card measuring 14 cms by 14 cms onto this and then the topper.
Using foam pads attach this matt and layer to the front fold.

Cut a piece of white card measuring 9.5 cms by 5.5 cms and matt and layer this onto the gold mirri measuring 10 cms by 6 cms.
Attach this to the base of the card. This is where you can write a message.

To finish off this design, cut and colour in three lady bugs and attach these to the card using foam pads.
