Today’s handmade card has been created for inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Boston Terrier.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Stamp Called Boston Terrier
Promarkers
The Crafty Witches Flower Dance Digital Download Collection
The Paper Boutique Butterfly Ballet Butterfly Die Collection
White Card
Silver Gems
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image Boston Terrier on to white card.
Choose two patterned papers, one plain paper and one sentiment from the download collection.

Layer one:
Cut a square from plain paper measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from the first patterned paper measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 7 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from white card measuring 6.5 cms 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second patterned paper measuring 6 cms 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Boston Terrier, I used promarkers.

Dog: Black, cool grey 1, 3, 5, blossom, dusky rose, shale, warm grey 3, 5.
Hair: Blush, apricot, terracotta, saddle brown.
Headband: Baby pink, rose pink, cerise.
Skin / Face: Almond, dusky pink, satin, powder blue, azure, cerise, rose pink, ivory, black.
Coat: Mulberry, carmine, maroon.

Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 15 cms by 11.5 cms.
Cut the image to measure 14.5 cms by 11 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer four:
Cut a piece from plain paper measuring 3 cms by 7.5 cms.
Matt and layer with the sentiment and attach to the card base using foam pads.

Layer five:
Using a butterfly die, cut one butterfly from plain paper.
Attach to the card base adding two small silver gems to the centre.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
