Today’s handmade card has been created for the challenge that is on CD Sunday Plus challenge blog.

The challenge is Summer Holidays and after looking through my cds I decided to use an image from The Big One volume 1 from La Pashe ( Splash Crafts)

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

Instructions:

You will need :

8″ by 8″ White Card
La Pashe – The Big One Volume 1
La Pashe – The Big One Backgrounds
The Paper Boutique Lovely Lattice – Sending All My Love Die Collection  
The Paper Boutique Secret Romance – Sentiment Dies Volume 10 – Cherish Every Moment
Star Fish Die
Blue Card
White Card
Kraft Card
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Choose and print two backing papers from the background cd, the two used are from Something For Every One 97 and 96.
Then choose and print an image from the volume 2 cd, the one used is from the Trinitage collection.
Cut the image out and decoupage if needed.

Layer one:
Cut a square from blue card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from one of the papers measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Using the doily die collection, cut the matt layer out in blue card.
Cut the doily die out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer three:
Cut a piece from blue card measuring 8 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a piece from the second paper measuring 7.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base using foam pads, over lapping the bottom of the doily die cut.

Layer four:
Cut a square from blue card measuring 14 cms by 14 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 13.5 cms by 13.5 cms.
Matt and layer together along with the topper image.
Attach to the card base using foam pads slightly over lapping all layers.

Layer five:
Using a sentiment die, cut the matt layer out in blue card.
Cut the sentiment out in white card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the top right of the card base using foam pads.
I used the Cherish Every Moment sentiment as I thought it was perfect for this sea-side image as we all should cherish every moment we spend together.

Layer six:
Using the star fish die, cut a couple out from kraft card and attach them to the bottom right of the card base.

Layer seven:
Cut a square from blue card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from the second paper measuring 18.5 cms by 18.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Layer Eight:
Cut a piece from blue card measuring 19 cms by 6 cms.
Cut a piece from the first paper measuring 19 cms by 5.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base on the left.

Layer nine:
Cut a square from blue card measuring 11.5 cms by 11.5 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 11 cms by 11 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base, slightly over lapping the last two layers.
