Today’s handmade card has been created for I Love Promarkers Blog Challenge using a digi image from Digi Doodle Studios.

I am very excited to say that I have joined the design team for I Love Promarkers.

I must say a huge thank you to Sharon Noble for introducing me to these ladies.

Please come and join in with this challenge that starts on 23^rd January and the theme is LOVE or Wedding/Anniversary.

You need to use either ProMarkers, FlexMarkers, AquaMarkers or Trias on your work.

The digi image used is called Secret Crush.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this z fold card.

You will need :

2 x 8″ by 8″ White Cards
Promarkers
Digi Image Secret Crush
The Paper Boutique Secret Romance Collection – Embellishment Cutting Dies
The Paper Boutique Secret Romance Collection – Sentiments Volume X Cutting Dies
Lilac Card
White Card
Wide Pink Ribbon
Thin White Ribbon
2 x Backing Papers (The one used is called Romantic From Crelando)
Blue Gems
Wet Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

First colour the digi image using promarkers (or any other pen/pencil).

The promarkers used were :
Hair: Girl – black, cool grey 4. Boy – black, cool grey 4, burnt sienna.
Skin: cinnamon, tan.
Clothes: Girl – lavender, amethyst, pink carnation, cool aqua, sky blue. Boy – french navy, arctic blue, sky blue, black, cool grey 4.
Tree Trunk: burnt sienna, cocoa.
Hearts and Chocolate box: red, rose pink, cerise.
Flowers and Leaves: poppy, rose pink, bright orange,meadow green, forest green.

Next score the front of both 8″ by 8″ cards in half and fold.
This will make a z fold card.

Using one of the 8″ by 8″ cards cut off 4 cms to make the bottom strip.
Keep the rest of this card for another project or to make more z fold cards.

Cut a square from lilac card measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a square from one of the papers measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the inside of the card base.

Cut a piece from lilac card measuring 19.5 cms by 9.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the other paper measuring 19.5 cms by 9 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front fold of the card base.

Cut a piece of lilac card measuring 19.5 cms by 3.5 cms and two pieces measuring 9.5 cms by 3.5 cms.
Add pink ribbon and white ribbon to the largest piece.
Attach this to the 4 cms stripe of card along with the two smaller strips.

Using the 4 cms piece of card attach to the bottom of the card base.
The longest part is attached to the front fold and the shortest part to the inside of the card base.

Next make a matt layer for the digi image from white card measuring 11 cms by 13.5 cms.
Then a matt layer from lilac card measuring 10.5 cms by 13 cms.
Matt and layer together with the digi image and attach to the front of the card base using foam pads.

Cut out one quilted heart in lilac card and two lacy edged hearts in one of the papers using the secret romance embellishments.
Cut out three heart matt layers in white card.
Matt and layer these together.
Attach the lacy edged hearts to the inside of the card base.
Decorate the quilted heart with blue gems and then attach to the front of the card slightly over lapping the digi image.

Add a few of the blue gems to the inside of the card.

Using a sentiment from the secret romance sentiment collection cut the matt layer out in white card and the sentiment in lilac card.
Matt and layer together and attach to the front of the card.

To finish cut a square from the lilac card measuring 19 cms by 19 cms.
Cut a square from white card measuring 18 cms by 18 cms
Matt and layer together and attach to the back of the card.
This is where you can write your message.
