Today’s handmade card has been created for inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Monthly Challenge Blog.

For my card I have used one of their digital images called Time Flies.

Here is a tutorial on how I created this card.

You will need :

8″ By 8″ White Card Base
Ching-Chou Kuik‘s Digital Stamp Called Time Flies
Promarker Pens
The Crafty Witches A Touch Of Steampunk Digital Download Collection
White Card
Butterfly Punch
Glue / Double Sided Tape
Foam Pads

Instructions:

Print the digital image onto white card.
Then print three plain papers, one patterned paper and one sentiment sheet.

Layer one:
Cut a square from the first plain paper measuring 19.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Attach to the card base.

Layer two:
Cut a piece from white card measuring 8.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the second plain paper measuring 8 cms by 19.5 cms.
Cut a piece from the patterned paper measuring 7.5 cms by 19.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach across the centre of the card base.

Layer three:
Colour in the digital image Time Flies, I used promarker pens.

Skin / Face: Ivory, dusky pink, champagne, pastel pink, pine, emerald.
Hair: Saddle brown, terracotta, burnt umber.
Clothes: Grey green, powder blue, midnight blue.
Ribbon: Midnight blue, cadet blue.
Flowers: Burgundy, firebrick, olive green, pear green.
Clock: Blush, cinnamon, burnt sienna, henna, cool grey 2, 3.
Bird: Verdigris, arctic blue, burgundy, firebrick.

Cut a piece from the third plain paper measuring 17.5 cms by 14 cms.
Cut the image to measure 17 cms by 13.5 cms.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.

Layer four:
Using the third plain paper, cut a matt layer for the sentiment.
Matt and layer together and attach to the card base.
Using the butterfly punch, cut a few from the first plain paper and attach to the card base.

To finish add an insert to the inside of the card base.
